PURPOSE: Risen Fellowship, founded by our CSO (Chief Servant Officer) is a dynamic youth ministry that aims to keep youth lifted and on the right path through ministry, fun, and social and mental guidance.

MEANING: RISEN Fellowship is the youth discipleship and development ministry of Joy Fellowship Mennonite Church.

The name is both a declaration and a description. Every time it is spoken, it proclaims the central truth of the Christian faith — that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead — and invites young people into a community built on that resurrection life. "Fellowship" honors our identity as a church family rooted in community, accountability, and shared mission. Together, RISEN Fellowship announces that because Christ is alive, these young people are alive to purpose, calling, and one another.

PLEDGE: RISEN Fellowship participants have pledged to be:

• Rooted in Christ:Biblical Literacy, and Spiritual Practices form the unshakeable foundation of every young person's life.

• Inspired to Learn: Academic excellence through homework support, math/science tutoring, digital literacy, and STEM exploration.

• Sent to Serve:Community engagement, outreach, and service projects that put faith into action in Peoria and beyond.

• Equipped to Lead:Leadership formation, character development, life skills, and career exploration that prepare youth for a life of purpose.

• Navigating Together: Mentorship, community building, belonging, and walking alongside one another through every season of growth.

CONTEXT: This vibrant group of young leaders and their mentors, will take it upon themselves to create a safe and supportive space where their fellow peers can grow, learn, and thrive. Through regular meetings, outings, and activities, the Risen Fellowship members share their wisdom, experiences, and talents to inspire and motivate one another.

Under the guidance of mentors, Risen Fellowship focuses on building strong relationships, fostering positive self-esteem, and promoting kindness, empathy, and inclusivity. They believe that by being good friends to one another, they can overcome any obstacle and achieve great things.

Whether they're participating in volunteer work, organizing game nights, or simply hanging out for a movie night, the Risen Fellowship youth ministry is all about having fun while doing good. By being a positive influence in each other's lives, they're spreading joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging throughout our community.

ALIGN: When you align with RISEN Fellowship you align vertically spiritually with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three coeternal distinct persons but yet fully one God.
